Chapter II “Life in the lager” |
1. The organisation of the camp
On March 22, 1933 the concentration camp of Dachau was opened, the first nazi lager. Thousands of other camps were then opened throughout Germany and Europe. |
The deportees were transferred by railway, in livestock cars and upon their arrival they met the “SS” with their German shepherds trained to attack.
They were taken from their original country for a one way trip. |
