The
observers’
task
is
to
assure
that
no
violations
take
place
within
the
desert
demilitarised
area
that
runs
along
the
border,
with
an
extension
of
10
kilometres
into
Iraq
and
5
kilometres
into
Kuwait.
The
group
is
composed
of
six
officers:
five
of
them
come
from
the
Army
and
one
from
the
Air
Force. |
The mission ended on the 6th October 2003.
