Geographical and scientific Missions

Explorers and scientists in Italian Army

Military personnels parecipated in many missions in several parts of the world since a long time.

Geographical discovers, borders' and maps' definition saw Italian military people involved. 

From Eastern Africa to the South Pole, from Malta to the Everest, Italian Army gave 

and is giving its contribution  to the knowledge, to the science, to the progress and to the peace.

 show philatelic stuff only related to the 2000 Eritrea mission (point 10) and  Antarctica expeditions (point 11 and 11a).
